Rooms and routes
When upgrading an apartment, identify where the existing distribution board sits relative to the rooms being changed. For a kitchen or home-office update, list the equipment and preferred socket locations before finishes are selected. Ask what can be assessed without invasive work and what may need closer investigation.
Terraces and external lighting
If the property has a terrace, courtyard or garden, treat that as a separate part of the brief. Describe exposure, equipment and any relation to water. Failed outdoor lights need diagnosis; replacing a lamp is not a substitute for checking a damaged fitting or circuit.
Coordinate shared-building work
Establish whether the proposed work is wholly inside the dwelling or involves a façade, stairwell, garage or roof. In managed buildings, have an authorised contact available and clarify how access will be arranged. Do not assume that work in common areas is included in a private-apartment quote.
Before arranging a visit in Belém & Ajuda
Prepare a short account of the work and confirm who can authorise it. Ask for a clear scope, the basis of the price, any travel charge and what documentation will be provided. The condition and requirements of an installation need professional assessment at the property.
